Before starting the business, our founder worked in outside plumbing for a larger company. Too often, he found himself quoting astronomical rates to customers who didn’t have any better options. The discomfort of those moments, and the lack of integrity he saw, sparked a change.
That change became Paynes Plumbing & Electric.
With a vision to help Knoxville families without draining their wallets, the company started small, just one truck, a dream, and a commitment to honesty. Today, we’ve grown into a full-service operation with licensed plumbers and electricians, a growing fleet, and deep roots in the community.

With over four years of hands-on experience, Jesse leads our plumbing division with both technical skill and a customer-first attitude. As a Licensed Limited License Plumber (LLP), Jesse brings precision and integrity to every job, whether it’s a simple faucet repair or a complex septic issue.
Known for being detail-oriented and solutions-driven, Jesse’s focus is on getting it right the first time. He’s a team player, a mentor to our newer techs, and a big reason why so many customers request us by name.
